A series of emotional portraits, when how we feel inside materialises outside of ourselves.Available on Exchange.art Demon. Some inner demons never really leave. Memory. We all wear the stigmas of our past, and it's not always easy to live with. But we have the possibility to re-invent ourselves, indefinitely. It's not always as quick as we would like, but life is in constant evolution, and so are we. Be gentle with your wounds and scars, they make you who you are. Bloom. This drawing was about the times when you feel helpless and dejected. But when you listen within, you can remember inside you there is a force always shining and joyful. You can feel it flourish and expand within you. Growth. Connect to yourself, and let yourself evolve, you can trust your heart to guide you. Home. Home is inside ourselves. All the answers are inside, you are your own power source. Magazine. Sometimes you feel like you’re losing control, everything is harassing you, and you feel overwhelmed and disconnected from reality. Your feet are not in this reality anymore, you’re lost in a distraught dimension, acting on auto-pilot. Unreal like a picture in a magazine. It’s a bit what I felt when I had depression, there was so much noise in my head I felt disconnected from everything, and too sensitive to everything at the same time. I was moving through life on auto-pilot, but everything was painful somehow. Sadness is a curse. When you put on a mask but sadness is slowly eating you inside. Sadness is something that clings to your insides, it feels like it seeps into your blood, your bones, your organs. You can manage to function, but you’re really putting a mask on to face the world, waiting for your grief to slowly leave you. Take care, it will pass, take your time to heal. Solitude. When we need some alone time to let our inner turmoil calm down. Waves. Lockdown number two. Lost in a sea of days that resembles one another, feeling groggy. Big Bad Wolf. When a certain emotion literally eats you up. Heat. Let your thoughts go and connect to your deeper self. To me, this piece illustrates the process of connecting to your inner fire, your inner force. In yoga, they speak of Purusha, which is our inner sacred part that is immutable and not affected by the ego, just clouded. When we meditate, we try to not focus on the noise of our mind and connect to this inner force. Merger. When what you create starts to color your own life. You learn from your journey and your process, you learn to embrace every part of you. Your ideas and yourself start to merge, and you evolve. Stormy thoughts. Feeling stuck and overwhelmed by too many emotions, pulling at your attention.
